Although the packaging was different than what was shown in the picture, I got what I expected: A Gamecube memory card. 64 Megabytes is plenty for any persons use. My old cards were missing and most likely broken, and I wanted to re-live some old memories. This card has more than enough space to store some of my old favorites. It gets the job done, and it was cheap, but I have experienced a few problems. Sometimes the Gamecube says that the memory card isn’t placed in Slot A, despite having the memory card securely in Slot A for weeks and not even touching it. This happens rarely, but because I have been playing the Gamecube so much, it is quite annoying when I have to blow inside the card and keep plugging it back into the Gamecube, hitting “Try Again” when it says there’s nothing in Slot A, then eventually turning the system off and on and hoping that it will work. Every time, it will eventually work. I just hope that it will keep working. Anyway, it is what it is. Its a cheap Gamecube Memory Card, and it does its job.
I got the same e-mail. I think it’s safe to say that they’re still producing the system, because they did say they don’t have any immediate plans to discontinue sales and distribution of the system. In other words, they have no plans right now to make the GC one of their non-current (no longer available in stores/getting anything new) systems like their 3 consoles that came before it.

  1. When you insert a memory card, it is automatically mounted (connected to the device) and prepared for use. However, should you unmount the card without removing it from the device, you will need to mount it before it can be accessed.

    I had the same issue on my HP laptop after upgrading to windows 10. I was able to fix the issue by uninstalling the SD card reader, restarting my computer, and then running the device troubleshooter with the SD card placed in the card reader slot. Make sure the card is placed in the card reader device while running the troubleshooter. That worked for me.

Safely eject SD card from computer, plug Reader into the iOS device, place SD card into the Reader, and Photos app should open. If you’re file naming is acceptable, Import will remain open and allow you to view/import the files. Import and you’re done! Note #1: Other common digital-camera file naming conventions will most likely work. Note #2: I’ve successfully imported several image filetypes: .jpg, .png, .raw. And these video types: .mov, .m4v, .MP4. I am sure many more will work. Also, you can have a mix of filetypes on the SD card simultaneously, and the import will work. For example, import will work with .jpg and .png and .m4v files on the card at the same time. This reader itself deserves 4 or 5 stars.   3. I bought this to run on my Droid Razr Maxx HD phone. Worked fairly smoothly at first. Then in the two days prior to total failure, it kept unmounting from my phone. After that nothing. Won’t read on my phone or pc at all. Dead in the water. I like the price, the capacity, and the brand name. Wish I could rate it higher, but when something fails so badly, there is no value in it or any way I could give it a higher overall rating.

    Howard Cheng, technical director of Nintendo technology development, said the company’s goal was to select a “simple RISC architecture” to help speed development of games by making it easier on software developers. IGN reported that the system was “designed from the get-go to attract third-party developers by offering more power at a cheaper price.     CompactFlash (CF) cards offer very high storage capacities and fast processing times. They were first introduced by Sandisk in 1994 and were widely used, but now they are usually only found in the most advanced DSLRs.
