Four-bit SD bus mode: Uses extra pins plus some reassigned pins. This is the same protocol as the one-bit SD bus mode which uses one command and four data lines for faster data transfer. All SD cards support this mode. UHS-I and UHS-II require this bus type.
Compatibility with SD and CF cards: There are a wide variety of memory card formats, but the most prominent are Secure Digital (SD), microSD, and CompactFlash (CF). We looked for readers that support SD and CF cards to ensure compatibility with as many cameras as possible; although most people don’t need CF support nowadays, we considered them for professionals and people with older cameras. We also tried to find readers that support faster UHS-II speeds for SD cards,1 but couldn’t find any USB-C readers with both UHS-II support and a CF card slot.

Throughout the lifespan of its console generation, GameCube hardware sales remained far behind its direct competitor the PlayStation 2, and slightly behind Microsoft’s Xbox. The console’s “family-friendly” appeal and lack of support from certain third-party developers skewed the GameCube toward a younger market, which was a minority demographic of the gaming population during the sixth generation. Many third-party games popular with teenagers or adults, such as the blockbuster Grand Theft Auto series and several key first-person shooters, skipped the GameCube entirely in favor of the PlayStation 2 and Xbox.
Anyway – just as I was about to order this same card bundled in a two pack, I saw the link for “38 sellers offer this product” and clicked the link. Huzzah – here was the same card, less expensive, and SOLD from the MANUFACTURER, SanDisk! The worries about getting a product other than described or represented was eliminated! This product was coming directly from SanDisk and was fulfilled by Amazon.
The first thing to be certain of when purchasing an SD card is what kind works in your camera. Is it a regular SD card or a microSD card? Keep in mind, many microSD cards come with adapters that let you use them in devices that normally take SD cards.
The SD and Micro SD work perfectly fine in this reader, and the transfer speeds are very impressive; instant, actually. It would take my old Galaxy S II about two minutes to sync with my [then] car once starting it, with about 2-6GB of music on it at any given time. My reader syncs my 7.25 GB collection as soon as I turn the engine over. and the quick, efficient sync has been consistent with every subsequent car I’ve used it in.
I bought this card for my Samsung Galaxy S II (T-Mobile T-989) and couldn’t be happier. I’ve got about 15 games, 10 apps, and 200+ songs on it and barely put a dent in it. The speed is also amazing…real fast. I work in a very dusty construction type environment in Michigan, outdoors, year-round, so the durability is also a nice plus. Water resistant (submersed) for up to 72 hrs and temp range of -13 to 185. Sandisk really got it right with this one.

These cards are each pre-packed in a certified Frustration Free Packaging (FFP) mailer labelled Amazon/SanDisk (No. 80-56-10641), and then shipped in a bubble wrap envelope which was 11.25″ x 9″. The bubble envelope seemed too big, but perhaps that size was necessary to accommodate the huge shipping label. I will post some pictures of the package and card.
I’m sure you could still find a new GameCube at your local electronics or gaming store. Try EBgames, GameStop, or even a BestBuy. New ones should run you $99 or less, but a used one could be as cheap as $50. If you have the money though, you might want to just invest in a Wii since it’s backwards compatible anyways.

When looking at memory cards, it’s important to delineate write speed and read speed and make sure you get what works best for each.

A faster read speed will transfer images to your computer more rapidly also (depending on how the SD card is wired up to the computer, as a direct connection vs USB 2 vs FireWire 800 vs USB 3 will make a significant difference also, as will, potentially, your hard disk or SSD storage memory speed).
